I moved to Eastbourne in February 2019 and was thrilled to find a rock, pop and gospel choir right on my doorstep. Joining a choir was on my list of 'must do's' and I really wasn't disappointed. Such a friendly bunch of people, so much fun and the best choirmaster ever!! Love it 😊

The Happy Place Choir is a good place to be. It brings an outpouring of pure joy and being with people of like minds. The harmonies are a very special thing and can almost reduce one to tears, so beautiful is the sound.
From the moment I stepped through the door I felt like I had come home. What do I think of the choir? They are splendid beautiful people who come together to create blissful music and harness the power of positivity. The choir has had a huge impact on my life and got me through some difficult times and provides immense stress relief from modern life.
I joined the choir from day one. Having just moved to Eastbourne, I knew no one and was missing friends and family. The joy I get from singing in the choir is immeasurable and the friends and choir “family” I now have saved my life!! The choir has made me feel part of a community and part of something very special. I now feel confident to say I have friends in Eastbourne - oh and I love the singing too!!! You can’t beat that feeling of singing with others
No auditions, no need to read music, no recriminations for singing out of tune. This choir offers fun and genuine friendship, a true community choir where people of all ages from all walks of life can come together to have a brilliant time. Led by the engaging, always smiling and constantly encouraging Angela, it's 90 minutes (and often a bit more) of fun and sun, even on the most miserable winter evening. There's something for everyone, a burst of pop, a smattering of gospel and a slab of rock! The decision to turn up and see what it was all about was the best one I've ever made.
After moving to Eastbourne in April 2019 not knowing anyone, I joined the choir later that year. It was the best thing I ever did. It was so uplifting. Celine was so welcoming and all the choir were so friendly and there was no pressure - just fun and my spirits were lifted every choir night. Angela was so encouraging too. She is fun, bouncy and lively. Joining this choir was a blessing to me. I finally felt I belonged and the community spirit was great. I look forward to us being bigger and sharing the fun and love to others.
There are choirs, and then there is the happy place choir. A league of its own like a supportive, friendly, joyful , singing, best sort of family. Angela leads us in the most warm.fun and skilled way. The choir members are great.
I joined this choir around 3 months ago and l am just loving it! Everyone is very welcoming and our teacher Angela is amazing. She never runs out of energy and your Mondays will never be dull anymore!
The Happy Place choir is a friendly and inclusive choir. You don't have to do an audition, just come along and join in! Joining this choir was one of the best things I've ever done. I've had loads of amazing experiences and made lots of friends. This choir is all about having fun and going home with a big smile on your face!
I love the choir it's a joy to go and sing it's like my second family and it's the highlight of my week.
I always said, when I want to join a choir this would be the one I would choose as I had seen them perform. Since I have joined it in April, I am enjoying it very much, and I have met some lovely people.
Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and we are all there to enjoy singing whether we can sing or not, there is no judgment. Being part of a choir is awesome. It’s not called the Happy Place Choir for nothing. I’ve made so many friends since joining just over a year ago. Angela is a fabulous leader who makes our sessions such fun and Celine is wonderful at administering and organising everything. We all leave on a high after our sessions. I love it and look forward to my Monday evenings. We actually sound like a choir!! Thank you all. 😁
The choir is such a great, uplifting place to be. I went along not knowing anyone and very unconfident about my singing abilities and was made really welcome. I've been really enjoying it ever since.
Friendly group, Angela is a really fun choir leader and a very diverse range of songs (some so modern I don't know them and have to go away and listen!). Singing is good for the soul, and coming to this choir really is a happy place.
